Im 16, 5'6 and 146 lbs. i want to lost like 10-20 lbs, sort of quickly. anyone have any suggestions?!??


Question: please dont tell me i need to lose it, and dont send me to websites that i have to pay for food and stuff. and also dont tell me to exercise because i already do that alot.

Keep to a 1,200 food intake

Add 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) ...and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn't seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.

Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. To determine if you are getting enough water use this simple formula.. Take your weight, for example 150 pounds and divide by 2. Take your answer which is 75 lbs and change it to ounces, in this case 75 ounces. That is how many ounces of water you need a day. Your body performs mostly on water. If you make sure you get enough water everyday your body will perform at top notch and your body will no longer have the cravings of junk food. You will have a better performing body system to help you work out and feel better thru out your day.
OK to loose weight you must:

Burn off all the calories you eat.

Simple.

Eat what you want as long as it is 1200 - 1400 calories.

Exercise for around an hour each day.

You will loose weight quickly, I promise.

how about the south beach diet? it's lean protien and good carbs. try it with moderate exercise and it will make you feel sooo much better WHILE you lose weight. it's not a starvation thing either which is nice.
Start eating healthy. But, if you exercise alot you should be loosing it.
To a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.

As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you should be X pounds , but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that

That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more
You are only 16 and you are 5'6 . That's not bad at all. You still have some growing to do. I would say, just maintain yourself there, with what you are doing right now. Your body is still developing and you don't want to side track it.
When I was your age, the ideal weight was, 100 lbs for the first 5 feet and add 5 pounds for every inch. so, really you should be 130. That's not considering your body type.
Once you start dieting, you start the Yo-yo effect. you lose say 5 lbs then you gain 10. I was your height and weight when I started dieting and now I'm 190. Don't do it. Just keep doing what you're doing. You may have more muscle than you realize.
