Very desperate to lose weight for an upcoming event??


Question: i want to lose 60 lbs in total but i want to lose a lot by october because my birthday is coming up. i have been fat ever since i took diet pills when i used to weigh 125 lbs. i was made fun of by some of my family members bacuase they said i was fat. it made me desperate to lose weight and took desperate measures. i live a depressed life and i try to work out but its soo hard. idk please help me with the most honest advice.!!thnx

Wow. First of all you sound like I use to be. You really do. I weighed about 225 at my highest...
The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did....lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won't help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don't eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i'm going pretty well if i don't say myself. 90 LBS isn't anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice. I'm sorry but you can't lose that much by October. It's unhealthy and not a realistic goal. To lose weight and get fit, it has to be a lifestyle change. Any quick fix fad diet (like diet pills) is temporary: you will gain the weight back. And most of those diet are NOT healthy.

What's the solution? Eat the proper portions of each food group, cut down your calories a bit (not too much because you don't want to go into starvation mode) and exercise regularily (5-6 times a week).
