My dad is obese??
Question: My father weighs about 205 at the height of 5'9
He just quit smoking so that is the reason he has gained so much weight. I mean it was almost a month and a half ago.
I am not trying to rule his life but I'm worried for his health.
How can I encourage him to jog with me?
Answers: just tell him that you have been thinking about working out and you think it would be good 4 him to join you...tell him you want to have some father daughter time...that usually works 4 me when i want sumthin...if doesn't work then sit him down and tell him you're worried then maybe he would understand.
Ask Him to walk first!
Jogging, right now, may not be a good idea!
Rejoice! He has quit smoking!
Tell Him how proud you are, as it the toughest addiction to conquer!
Ask him to drink water, the more the better!
Walk with Him, and talk with him!
Let him know You are proud!

Jogging may not be possible for a man that is overweight and just stopped smoking. He will need to start walking before he can jog. After dinner, ask if he would like to walk with you. It can be a wonderful time for both of you, health-wise and also for your relationship.
You sound like a very caring daughter. Tell him that it's only because you love him so much that you're concerned about his health. Maybe that will be the impetus he needs to start living a more health-ful life.

hes not rly obese... but little chubby... but not obese... i would just talk to him about it. he'll prolly understand.
