Need to lose weight!!!!??


Question: ok no ignorant comments please. i am 28 years old and about 5.5 .....a few months ago i weighed 214....i am now down to 196. through my whole life up till about 3 years ago i was sooo skinny i looked like i had a drug problem lol. however over the past few years i have just gained and gained and gained. the only thing i did different to lose the weight i have lost is start drinking diet mountain dew instead of regular. i will say my will power is not the best but i really want to lose weight. i want to really focus on my stomach but heard this is the hardest part to lose weight and tone up. anyone with any ideas please let me know as i really want to lose the weight.
Answers: Weight loss is really quite simple; there are only two things you need do to reach your goals:

1. Restrict daily calories to 1600 calories per day. By increasing the amount of fruits and vegetables you eat, you will be able to keep your intake at this level without feeling hungry or uncomfortable.

2. Exercise for one hour a day, every single day. It can be anything from pilates to just plain walking, but do it. One hour. Every day.

This is a pretty simple recipe for weight loss, but it works. It has worked for me; I have lost 62 pounds this way. It will work for you if you commit to it and stick to it.

there are lots of exercises you can do to loose weight like you can do push/pull ups you can run and do the normal stomach exercises such as leg raises sit ups crunches etc.
and stop drinking so much and eat less, and remember you only get out what you put in. .

try calculating ur body mass index ( BMI ) , here is the formula:
BMI = ( Weight in Pounds / ( Height in inches ) x ( Height in inches ) ) x 703
then see your results:
18.5 or less Underweight
18.5 to 24.99 Normal Weight
25 to 29.99 Overweight
30 to 34.99 Obesity (Class 1)
35 to 39.99 Obesity (Class 2)
40 or greater Morbid Obesity

Cardio workouts help increase your metabolism to help burn fat faster. You don't have to go to the gym to lose though. Make your workouts fun so you aren't stressed or dreading your next one. Enlist a buddy to push you along if you start to give up.

Try joining a jazzercize group, dance, stop drinking a lot of alcohol, swim! a great workout there, bike, run. If those aren't appealing, take it outdoors: kayak, indoor rock climbing, canoeing, etc.

A cool trick i learned was to exercise in the morning before your first meal. It supposedly forces your body to use energy from your fat stores. But, make sure you eat a healthy breakfast within an hour of that workout to restore ENERGY, not FAT!

Eat five small meals packed with protein and drink at least 8 glasses (8 oz each) of water a day to maintain muscle.

Devise a way to make exercise a family thing. Have a time of day when you can get your kid(s) outside with you. Play tag, soccer, basketball together. It will promote a healthy lifestyle for him/her in the future
