Healthy Snacks??
Question: I'm trying to eat healthier and in general lead a healthier life. I like to eat, so it kinda presents a problem. Do you have any healthy yummy snacks that are not too high in calories, fat or sugar. Currently I like to munch on Rice Cakes and Dried fruit.
Answers: Nuts, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, maybe a smoothie with a blend of your favorite fruits, yogurt with granola and/or fruit, Special K bars (sweet and healthy!), raisins, a glass of milk, vegetables..just to name a few :)
Watch dried fruit, some add sugar, so read labels to be sure. What about an apple, it provides nutrietns & fiber which feels you up or natural applesauce. 100 calorie packs, Dark chocolate if you have to have some, yogurt, sugar-free jell-o or pudding, limit salty snacks too b/c this works against you.

Hey those are my fave snacks too! Also some rice crackers and salsa, vege sticks with hummous or other low fat dip, mini tortilla with some tuna or other healthy filling, obviously fresh fruit.
OH OH OH!!!!!
Strawberrys are supposed to be be like 20 cals a serving of them which i think is 6 strawberrys!i dont remember the exact numbers so look it up!i know there extremely healthy though!
RICE CAKES AND DRIED FRUIT ARE NOT GOOD SNACKS.
They are digested in your body like simple sugars. The dried fruits probably have added sugar as well.
Better ideas are fresh fruits such as apples, grapefruit, may different color bell peppers, cherry tomatoes. Look for popcorn with high fiber for a crunchy snack. Jolly time makes Healthy pop butter and kettle corn which comes in 100 calorie bags. This is a healthy snack. Drink a lot of water as well.
If you limit yourself to natural non processed snacks, you will think they are yummy, not the artifically made dried fruit and rice cakes.
