Weight Watchers Core or Flex plan??

Question: I joined last Thursday and I am having one heck of a time here. Its hard to eat and count points. We eat out alot, because I don't cook that great. I am not sure if this is going to work for me. Please help me. I really do want to change my life style, it really hard. Is the Core plan going to be better for me? Did you lose more with Flex or Core? Share your stories. Thanks for the help here.
Answers: Hi There,

Congratulations on joining weight watchers. I joined a few years back and started on the Flex plan. With flex you have to really nit pick your points and what goes into your mouth, as where the core plan, you eat till your full....I personally don't like that because when I'm full, that used to be half a chicken. I would recommend getting the eating-out guide that WW publishes and it gives you some healthy dishes from many popular restaurants as well as the points. You could also be smart and know that when you go to a restaurant..you might need to get half in a to-go box even before you stick a fork in your food...this is resisting the temptation to eat everything and it gives you the proper serving size. Also, drink a lot of water before going out, as it tends to fill you up. When eating salad, be sure to get the dressing on the side, dip your fork in the sauce and then eat your salad...salad dressing is too caloric to waste all those points on. Sure you can get a hamburger, use mustard and and ketchup in stead of mayonaisse and cheese.

Finally, in your starter book, there's a basic soup in there...it's absolutely wonderful. And a good basic soup is good...a pound a lean ground beef, a can of pinto beans, a can of corn, a can of tomatoe sauce, a can black beans, and i want to say a can of whole tomatoes...if it's not too tomatoey...then add a packet of ranch dressing mix...and simmer...it's delicious!

Good Luck on your WW journey. I lost 120 lbs.

I am doing the flex (points) program now and have lost 26 pounds. The easiest diet I have ever done. Get the eating out guide or get the points calculator it helps so much. Also WW Smart Ones frozen dinners and the WW yogurt are fantastic and low in points. The new progresso zero point soups are also good. I do not cook much either so these help very much. Good luck hang in there the first week is always hardest.
unfortunately in trying to lose weight you must make sacrifices. restaraunt food is extremly unhealthy so it won't be on the core plan unless you are ordering alot of plain salads or something. and on points you would be able to eat like once a day unless you rae doing the same.

i think you need to seriously think about wheter or not you are commited to bettering yourself.
