Weight Watchers??
Question: I want to go on a diet... i have tried weight watchers before and it worked well. I reached a plateau at one point though and couldn't lose any more. Would you recommend weight watchers again or another diet? I don't want to do any fad diet that is unhealthy at all.
I am not unhealthy or to overweight at all, im 5'8 and a size 6 or 8 but I have never felt this unhealthy in my life.
Also... I find it really hard to find out to work out. I work out when I can, but its hard to find the time so I am focusing on a diet plan for now.
Answers: All diets in which you drastically reduce your caloric intake do NOT work. Yes you will see yourself lighter on the scale but that is because your body is in starvation mode and eating your muscles for food. Muscles weigh more than fat and that is why you see a reduction in weight. Muscles are also the catylist for burning fat so the more mucle you loose the less metabolism you have.
The only way to truly burn fat and stay healthy is by eating about 20% under your daily caloric needs. Split your meals up into 5 smaller complete meals with a protien, complex carbs and good fats. This will keep your healthy, and if you add some weight training and aerobic activity your WILL loose body fat. Although you might not see drastic reductions on the scale, this is because you are replacing your fat with fat burning muscle tissue.

I did weight watchers and I lost 26lbs. It does work but it has to be a life change not just a diet. You have to watch what you eat or you will gain the weight back. Remember to drink lots of water, that is key.
Do Weight Watchers again. It does work and you can pretty much eat what you want. As for your exercising go for a 10 minute walk on your lunch break. As long as your moving you put in you exercise for the day. I to am 5'8 and a size 6-8 and I am feeling the exact same way you are. I know how hard it is to diet and stay with it, so I wish you much luck.
I did weight watchers. I found that if I stopped it for just 2 days, I'd gain like 5 lbs. I finally quit doing it. It can give you results, but if you stop at all, you're going to gain it all back.
If weight watchers worked for you once it will probably work for you again. Its probably the best one. Really all weight watchers is is a method of tracking the food that you eat so that 1. You don't eat too much and 2. Are encouraged to eat healthier. Both of those things are essential to loosing weight.
I am a big proponent of exercise though, in whatever shape or form for however long. It doesn't have to be intense, or long. Just 30 minutes of extra walking a day can help you burn enough calories to get you past a plateau. Most of the time a plateau is the result of your body getting used to your diet and exercise plan. So you have to change things around. Different exercises, changes to the diet. Your body will adjust to whatever routine or plan you are doing and try to go into auto pilot.
Listen to what you are saying and how you wrote it... you are not overweight, but you want to go on a diet... and your problem is that you feel unhealthy. You may be able t o feel healthier by improving what you eat, but a diet - any diet, not just Weight Watchers - isn't your answer. In order to be healthy, drink lots of water, try to get 8 hours sleep a night, try to avoid processed foods, and be kind to yourself. A little positive thinking goes a long way towards helping you feel healthy. A diet will add more stress. Focus on eating healthy and I bet you see an improvement.
Good Luck!

The best way is a calorie controlled diet. Doesn't matter to a certain extent what you eat, just decide on a number of calories per day that you're not going to go over.
