Salad would be good for eatin, snackin on, and not fattenin at all..
so..
what do u think?
tell me b4 i mess my life up for the 3rd time??
Answers: The best way is a calorie controlled diet. Doesn't matter to a certain extent what you eat, just decide on a number of calories per day that you're not going to go over.
Yes salad is good but make sure you eat plenty of protein as well to keep you going..just make sure it's not too fattening. Also eat nuts, beans and fish.

to maintain your current weight you should et 2000kcals per day. so to lose weight you need to restrict this to 1500kcals. but make sure you eat no less than 1500kcals as this will slow your metabolism & you won't lose anything.

i would recommend a class called body pump - this uses weights to tone you up & burn lots of calories (www.lesmills.com) - give your local gym a call to see if they run it. i did this class twice a week & could see big difference fast!!

if you are restricting your diet it's also a good idea to take a multivitamin to ensure you are getting all your vital nutrients.

if you cut your cals back to 1500 per day & do exercise 2-3 times per week you will lose 1-3lbs per week easily.

drink plently of water, try & increase the amount of fruit & veg you eat & swap white bread for brown bread, full cream milk to skimmed milk etc.
If you are eating healthy you do not have to diet. You should
eat from the 5 food groups and exercise.( it is the junk and process food that make you gain weight.)
It depends on what you mean by 'SALAD'.

If you mean mainly lettuce, then absolutely not.

If you want to avoid messing your life up, you should try learning about nutrition. A lot of people with eating disorders have an encyclopaedic knowledge of 'calorie values', but are almost completely ignorant about the wider subject.

Leafy vegetables contain some excellently useful minerals and vitamins. They are very healthy to eat. BUT these nutrients are useless if you aren't absorbing enough FUEL to power the internal processes which make use of the vitamins and minerals to maintain your body.

If your definition of 'salad' can include some seeds, grains, nuts and sprouting beans, 'fruits' like tomato, avocado, squashes and peppers, 'brassica' vegetables like cauliflower and broccoli, Fungi, 'sweet' fruits and berries, and dark-leaved vegetables like kale & cabbage, then this range of foodstuffs can be balanced into a very healthy (and richly tasty) diet.

Many of these ingredients can be eaten raw, and the effort required to chew 2-3 kcal of this stuff daily, will certainly help you to be (facially) active enough throughout the day.

Adding cold cooked meats, fish, eggs and dairy products to the range of 'salad ingredients', will allow more scope for interesting flavour combinations, but it is not necessary to eat meat, poultry, dairy or fish in order to have a balanced and healthy diet. These products (and especialy their processed forms) can easily cause dietary imbalances, and lead habitually to a LESS healthy diet.

Many meat-eaters dismiss Vegan food as 'salad', but by carefully combining plant-sourced nutrients, you can enjoy a diet that is full of energy and stuffed with the other nutrients that allow you to use that energy beneficially.
Nothing beats healthy eating.

Concentrate on overall fitness and maintaining a healthy heart.
For best results, eat six times a day. Try balancing your meals 70% protein 30% carbs.

Eat a combination of lean protein and healthy carbohydrates every few hours throughout the day to speed up fat loss and maintain stable energy levels.
Eat your proteins from lean sources (Chicken, fish, boiled eggs, lean beef with all the fat drained off) and beans (lentil, lima, chile or any type of bean)

For your carbs stay away from breads, pasta and rice. They do provide energy but they are high in calories. Choose leafy vegetables, carrots, raisins, broccoli and fresh fruits. Weight train intensely, three times per week on alternating days with aerobic exercise three times per week.

Drink 10 to 20 glasses water per day NO SODA
Good Luck !!!

Eat Right and do Cardio (jogging, aerobics or bike riding 30minutes per day) to burn fat.
Do this is you want to collapse, like all the time. There are 4 main food groups you have to eat from all of them in different moderation's, if you want a healthy balanced diet go to a dietitian.
say what?
If you really wanna be realistic then you can lose 4-5 lbs a week. Losing 30lbs should take roughly 6weeks. Simply lower your eating intake by 1/3 and eat as soon as you get hungry. This will increase your body's metabolism and help to burn that excess energy instead of storing it as fat.

(Most importantly avoid light snacks in-between meals as this will increase your food intake without you even realising it).

Also some exercises, nothing too drastic. Just 20 sit-ups in the morning, 20 sit-ups at night before bed. 10 push-ups morning and night and some extended brisk walks up-to 30minutes a day (a slightly hilly terrain is ideal), and a 15min jog only once a week. (and increase the number of walks/sit-ups etc as you get used to them).

Follow this regime and your 30 lbs should drop within 6 weeks. And the best thing of all you really don't have to drastically change your diet or even exert yourself during exercise. And can actually be enjoyable. With this method, your not actually dieting, it;'s more of a lifestyle change.

p.s walking on hilly terrain, at steep angles is great, probably the best from of buttock exercise, they get real firm!
