Excersising in the day or the evening??
Question: I am working on lossing a great deal of weight, getting married aug 07, and ready for a change of life. I work long hours, and i want to get some excersise in between to go along with a low carb diet. Is is better to excersise in the day or in the evening. or can i just wait till the weekend? What would be more productive? I am 5'7 and 280-290lbs. i know i won't loose it all overnight, but I do want to loose it safely and productivly, so i can look stunning on my wedding day. Are there rules on working out? You know like abs one day and arms the next?
Answers: Exercise whenever you feel like it. The only caveat about exercising at night is that it gets your endorphins up, and your energy level goes up, so it might take you longer than you'd like to wind down if you exercise too close to bed time. Just don't do any fad diets, and work up to your intensity (otherwise, you'll tire yourself out because the results aren't coming overnight). Keep the routine fresh by challenging your body every 4-6 weeks with something new. Incorporate aerobics with weight lifting, yoga, and for your size, swimming is great because it's not hard on the joints like some other aerobic exercises. (I don't say that to be funny, just informative, because I have just recently lost 47 lbs myself!) Keep in mind that good, permanent weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week after that initial shock to your body, where in the first week or two, you'll lose more.
Good luck. Also, consider making a permanent health change, instead of just wanting to look good in your dress. It really does put you in a different mindset about working out and eating right, and you translate that into permanent behavior changes.

My workouts vary by what shift I am on. Most the wieght people carry is water weight. But it/s good to have a workout routine. I just changed mine to one body part a day. But I do workout my abs more than any other body part. Because your stomach is harder.
Congrats!
You've already taken the first step!
Many advocate a workout in the morning before breakfast. The logic of that is that you will be burning calories from fat rather than what you just ate. I do better with morning as by evening I'm just too tired. My weekends are for the real workout. The long walks etc.
Good luck and many blessing on your upcopming marriage!
Wake up at 5 a.m. and walk for an hour. It will help fight off depression also, then if you wish walk for 1/2 hour before bed time to keep your body burning calories. Good luck and Congradulations. Oh about workouts, 2 or 3 times a week is usually sufficient so that you don't go buff. Cardiovascular is great for slimming down.
i think you should excersise in the morning because it gets you awake and ready for the rest of the day.
Well, I personally like to exercise in the morning and the afternoon. If I exercise to close to the evening I can't sleep as well because my body hasn't slowed back down yet. It's better to rotate the muscles you are working, for ex - every other day work your arms. On the off days, work your abs or whatever you come up with. I recently read that you should exercise for 250 to 300 minutes a week when trying to lose weight. You have time to lose a lot of weight safely. If you have questions, asking your doctor can certainly be one avenue. I lost 42 lbs over the course of 6 months by following weight watchers and exercising every day, sometimes 2x a day.

Good for you! Bring an ipod ;) I love the elliptical cardio machine, there's no impact and you can burn a lot of calories quickly. I like the interval setting and challenge yourself on the resistance.
If you need to lose weight (that's a BIG if) then the best way to do it is through diet and excercise. Your diet should consist of eating your carbs early in the day for energy and protein after worko
have a diet
If you feel that you are an alcoholic, join Alcoholics Anonymous.
15 - 20lbs.
you cannot just lose fat or weight from one part of the body, you can tone up the general thigh area but if you eat healthy and exercise regularly focusing on your legs then you should see results.
you are absolutely fine just the way you are! that is a healthy size to be at your age and height! the most important thing is that you are happy with the way you feel and look and it sounds like you
Anorexia will only make you miserable, and since you already sound unhappy I don't think you need that. Anorexia is misery and 10% of anorexics die of their disease.
What you need is a healthy die

Any diet that gives the body the nutrients and calories it needs to survive and sustain itself is a good one. It's not what you eat, but how much you eat (or don't eat).
I couldn't be if I wanted to! I have 2 kids. 3.5 and 9 months. They keep me very busy!

Sure, you can say that you want to eat fruits for the rest of your life, but I doubt it'll last much longer than 48 hours.
Why can't you just eat right and exercise? W
