Anal/rectal bleeding??
Question: When I went to the toilet earlier (to do a number two) I noticed some blood on the toilet paper, it has happened before and it's been happning more recently (the first time was a year ago but it was only a small amount of blood) and today it was quite a lot of blood and it was bright red in colour. I got really bad pain yesterday when I did a number two (I know that's a bad way to describe it but I'm trying to not be crude) and I have been getting the pain for quite a while now. When I sat down yesterday it hurt and it still hurts a bit today. I'm really freaked out because I'm terrified that it might be cancer and I don't like the sound of going to the doctor because it would make me really uncomfortable having the examination but I know that it's serious and I was just wondering what are the most likely causes? I looked on website about it but these are symptoms of quite a few disorders so I'm not sure about what it could be. I'm 20 and I eat quite healthy, if that helps at all.
Answers: The good news is that if the blood is bright red, you probably have hemorrhoids. The hemorroids are internal that's why you don't see anything. Anyways, you need to see a doctor, because although not fatal or anything, they can be very uncomfortable and lead to other complications in the area . A doctor will be able to lance them which will be mildly painful for a day or so and then it will be over. If you start to see very dark red blood that's a sign of deeper issues. (no pun intended) Go see the doc...they'll have you fixed up in no time.
The first thing to ask your self is did you strain when you went #2?? A difficult Bowel Movement (BM) can cause bleeding. Also, if you sit on cold surfaces a lot, like ice or rocks, hemorrhoid's can be an issue. I am just tossing out ideas. this is not meant to replace a doctor's check!! But trust me when I say cancer should not be even a top 5 concern......Relax and make an appointment if you're concerned. It is always better to know in situations like this, hun.
It is not AIDS from a toilet seat. you are more likely to catch 'stupid' from the person who made that post. I get this all of the time. Actually, once it got so bad that the entire toilet was red with blood. I took a picture, gross, I know. I just wanted proof. Anyways.... it usually heals, but make sure you poop very slowly and are relaxed when you do so. It could take some time for you to heal. It could be more serious than people let on, as there could be open cracks or fissures in you anus that can get infected and if left untreated, lead to sepsis, which basically means you are F^(*ed and you need some crazy drugs to get better.
It sounds to me like you might have a tiny bleeding hemorrhoid. It could be an internal one or an external (visible) one. That is why you feel pain. It is caused by constipation and straining when you try to do #2. If it is a visible one you should be able to feel it around your rectum with your finger, it would feel like small bump protruding from your anus.

At your age it is unlikely that you have colon cancer.
Often, they go away by themselves, make sure that you don't strain when having a bowel movement and increase fiber in your diet.
It sounds like it's probably hemorrhoids. If when you go to the toilet, you have to force it, this can cause it. There are also other possible causes.
But you really should see a doctor about it - they've probably looked at more butts than you've eaten meals, so you have nothing to be uncomfortable about. There is a good chance the doctor will not physically examine you anyway. Besides, if it is serious, wouldn't you want the doctor to know?
It might be AIDS. Contrary to popular belief, AIDS can be transmitted through everyday contact, even from toilet seats. Other possible causes could be Rectal Cancer or Kool-Aid Poisoning. Talk to your doctor or local homeless person as soon as possible, as this may be serious.
your turds are probably just to big and hard man, eat some fiber, maybe take a poo-softener.....
Piles. Go see your doctor.
i know it would be scary, but go to your doctor. he will probably prescibe you something that will make going to the bathroom easier and less painful. If you decide that you are too freaked out about going to the doctor, try using a laxative. If blood STILL appears you HAVE to go to the doctor because this could be serious.
eating healthy?? but not enough roughage
20 yrs old is not to young for hemorrhoids

from saying it was bright red blood..means it is fresh close to or at opening...
symptoms says could be ...piles / hemmroids
damaged /cracked outer edge that is very hard to heal if not kept clean..and meds applied
or a polyp , with this you would also see dark areas in stools of blood....meaning the bleeding is further inside track.....
