Recessive genetic disorder??

Question: Definition?
Answers: Please do not quote my answers... it has been a while since AP Bio!! Recesive genetic disorders just mean that both parents have to be carriers of a disease for a child to have it!! If i am not mistaken, Cystic Fibrosis is recessive. My friend has it... both of her parents had the trait, but since it is recessive they do not have the active disease. HER twin BROTHER (fraternal, not identical) does not have the diease, but she does. He is also a carrier. If both parents have the trait for a recessive disorder, their offspring have 75% chance of being carriers, 25% of having the disease. Hope I helped some?!
