Exactly what happens to a man's testicles once he has been castrated??
Question: Are they thrown away in the nearest trash can or preserved in formalin for posterity? Or are they used for medical research? How long does it take for the penis to become an useless appendage of the male body once castration has been performed?
Serious answers ONLY !!!
Answers: This depends upon the location, the reason for the castration and the person doing the castrating.
If it is medical and performed in a Western culture, it was probably for a medical reason. The tissue is preserved (usually in formalin) and taken to the cytology department where some of the tissue is processed and placed upon microscopic slides for a pathologist to examine. The specimen is usually kept for several years before incineration.
If the castration was for legal reasons, anything goes. The testicles can be incinerated immediately or preserved for medical experimentation or even presented to the patient in a jar.
The hormonal effects can take several weeks to be seen. The psychological effects are almost immediate.
As a general rule, body parts that are removed are biopsied for problems such as cancer, and then they are incinerated. How long it takes for the effects of testosterone to subside, I do not know. I can't imagine that it would be very long, however; they're analogous to a woman's ovaries, and if those are removed, you will know it in a BIG hurry. Thank heaven for hormones!
If he takes testosterone the penis will work forever
They hang them on the walls......
Once removed, all body parts are treated as bio-hazardous waste. They go to specialized companies that process bio-hazardous materials. Most likely, they will be incinerated.
What do you mean by useless? They will function normally forever, except there will be no semen as the organ that produces them no longer exists and there will be less desire as certain hormone (testosterone) will no longer be produced.
Being castrated is a rare occurrence these days, nearly always only performed for medical reasons, like cancer, in which case the organs are disposed of in an incinerator.
According to the movie, The Last Emperor , Chinese monks who were castrated before serving in the palace kept their testicles in small boxes. Otherwise, whether it was Genghis Khan castrating boys by the hundreds for service in his harems or the barbers of Italy castrating boy sopranos for the benefit of church choirs, I believe they were just thrown away. Likewise, doctors who ran orphanages in the US in the 1910-20's who castrated boys just to see what effect it had on their behavior, they were just thrown away or incinerated.
I read once of an Amazon-type tribe in North Africa where the women castrated 12-14 year old boys to use for sex until they couldn't get erections any more, usually after a year or two. I don't know how long mature adults might last.
Whyever do you ask?

There goes my rocky mountain oysters joke.
I concur, that parts removed are generally biopsied, confirming the need for removal, then incinerated.
Production of testosterone hormone ceases. The vim, vigour and vitality reduce. The penis becomes ineffective.
When I was castrated it was incinerated.
I felt the lack of testosterone about 6 weeks later. There is not much of a effect on penis function....The penis remembers what it was doing before and will do it if stimulated......I lost all interest in any kind of sex completely. When I say no interest....I mean none....My wife tried everything to get me interested.I showed no interest at all.
The scrotum shrivels up like a prune over time. Its been 12 years since I was castrated and it has shriveled very small.
When my dog was neutered, a couple of months later you'd never know he had testicles. The little pouch had shrunk up. I think it'd be the same in a man - with nothing in the sac, the sac would shrivel up. They remove the testicles, not the skin.
I've never seen a castration in the OR, however, when body parts are removed, typically they are dissected and then burned unless needed for burial, as with some religions require amputated limbs to be buried.
until he finds a mexican paharmacy that sell testosterone.
