I am a Christian - Is Masturbation a sin or not a sin??
Question: Hi, I am a Christian and I am stuck on whether masturbating is sin or not sin.
I am 16 and never really masturbated before, mainly because it never interested me however deep in my mind I was worried. The reason I was worried is because my friends were saying Oh yer I do it etc. And when I tried briefly/quickly nothing happened. This worried me because I want to have babies one day and if I can't do it then I might never be able to have babies.
So I started looking how to do it, and I managed to do it after my second attempt. I was happy, but then I felt guilty and awful. I thought is this a sin against God? I am sure God wouldn't mind me doing it for that sake, but because I have done it, I feel the urge to do it again.
Is this wrong?
Furthermore when reading and trying to find answers, I ask another question, is it a sin to get *** on your body, clothes or on the floor?

Sin is that which separates us from the glory of God...........the bible doesn't specifically come right out and say masturbation is bad but it talks about the condition of your heart.....when you masturbate are you lusting after someone (lust is sin) or does masturbation preoccupy your thoughts so instead of trying to please God you are focusing when you can next get off. Also, as a Christian, your body is a temple for the Holy spirit....so what you do to it is important.....is masturbation done out of self abuse because you are feeling bad or sad and just use masturbation as a way to feel better and experience orgasm as a way to just not have to cope with your other emotions.....or is masturbation used as a mode of self expression and allowing you to cherish the body that God has given you and for it to be an expression of self love and acceptance........remember it's the condition of your mind.

Well the truth is that masturbation is considered a sin, but heres the why: sex is a simble of giving love to someone else, so it is made both to procreate and to become one with your wife. Therefore, having sex is not a way of giving yourself pleasure it was made by god to show your partner love. If you masturbate then it is that you are using this gift that god gave you to be selfish and not share it in a good way with your wife.
