I am seeing splotches out of the corner of my eye. I hear voices, and know that they are not real Whatsgoingon?
Question: I am in college and I know something is wrong because of some of the symptoms. I dont have insurance and I dont know what to do. Its unbarable, but I dont want to be labeled crazy either. I know the voices are not real, and its almost as if they are thoughts. I have heard sounds, but mostly I think I change everyday sounds to something else. Its really hard to explain. I have terrible nightmares and wake up hyper ventalating. I have numb ness. I have times when It feels like I am free falling out of an airplain when I am doing normal stuff. Can someone help
Answers: See someone thru your university if possibly but dont automatically rush to suppress the symptoms with meds. My friends child is having similar symptoms and he has been disgnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). He is not on meds for it and everyone who knows him has been educated on techniques in place to minimise the symptoms and bring him out of it such as they dont go out at night if possible, they have much more tolerance towards his hyper-vigilence, he sleeps in any part of the house he feels safe in (they leave the choice up to him) etc. Being an adult obviously you would have a range of different techniques to follow but suppressing/covering symptoms with medication wont help your problem, it will simply delay it and potentially cause more problem associated with taking anti-psychotics aswell. Good luck....
Is there a college infirmary that you could go to? You need to talk to someone sweetie. You could have schizophrenia. It is not uncommon for symptoms occur during college. You are under a lot of stress studying etc. The good news is there is a lot of treatment available. If there is no school clinic or infirmary go to your school counselor, or a minister. They can help find you some help. You are NOT crazy. You are ill and need to get treatment. You have recognized you have a problem so you are already on the right track
It probably is a mental illness. You need to see a doctor ASAP.
P.S. If you eat a lot of bananas you get hallucinations. Don't eat bananas.
I have no clue of what you have, but don't take this in offense, I think you might just be dilusional.
yeah, a doctor. go to the school clinic or something. why don't you have insurance? you should still be covered under your parents insurance if you are a full-time student.
What you should do , since you dont have insurance, is visit one of your counselors at school. They should be able to tell you whats going on. It sounds like you could have schizophrenia and maybe even a sleeping disorder too. Dont worry, you are not crazy. These are disorders that many people have. There is medication for these disorders that make it so that you dont hear these voices. Do not leave it untreated though. Make sure to see a counselor. Or you can ask a psychology teacher. They should know what is going on
Schizophrenia, sleeping disorders and aura migranes, and perhaps something wrong in the balance portion of the brain, i reccomend speaking to a school counselor and perhaps a psychology professor, also if the voices tell you to kill/hurt people or do something that you would never do normally SEE SOMEONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, the voices can be very, very convincing (i know from experience, i heard voices whenever i got stressed in high school) <-- thus stress could also be a factor
