Plz help, if you are in college and have search engine that search for journal artical??

Question: i need website and info on the cause, symptom, treatment, medication, side-effect of Schizophrenia
Answers: You don't have to be in college to search for journal articles, although you do need subscriptions to see many full-text articles. You can search PubMed and Google Scholar from anywhere, and get abstracts for journal articles, as well as the full text where it's available for free or on a pay-per-article basis (and in theory you can also subscribe to journals as a private individual, but it tends to be excessively expensive as it's really aimed at institutions). Try www.pubmed.com or scholar.google.com next time you want to find journal articles.

However, the kind of basic background info you're asking for would be virtually impossible to find in a scientific journal. The kinds of articles you'd find there would be looking at the molecular mechanism of a specific treatment, the pros and cons of a specific diagnostic test, ect., and generally wouldn't give an broad overview of all the different symptoms, treatments, and possible causes. There might be review articles that look at a few different treatments or possible causes that are fairly closely related, but you're unlikely to find anything that gives a general overview of all aspects of the condition.

Here a few sites to try for some general information on schizophrenia:
http://www.nimh.nih.gov/healthinformatio...
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schizophren...
http://www.emedicinehealth.com/schizophr...
http://www.nami.org/Template.cfm?Section...
http://www.schizophrenia.com/
http://www.mentalhealth.com/dis/p20-ps01...

Once you've looked a few of those resources, or similar ones you find on the search engine of your choice, then if you want to go into more detail on any specific aspect (ex. the mechanism of action of a specific medication, or the physiological basis of a specific symptom), then you'd want to search PubMed or Google Scholar for information on that specific topic. If you find articles that are interesting to you, but you don't have access to the full text online, then write down the citation, and look for the journal in a local university library. Although you won't be able to check out any material, most schools leave their libraries open to the general public, and you can photocopy the articles you're looking for.
ur school library should have a database and journal archive on ur school website try looking there or try epnet.com. hope this helps
