What should I do??
Question: I have OCD (obsession compulsive disorder), and I visit a counselor every other week and I'm going to see a pyschiatrist in September. Anyway, I think that it's getting out of control and I cannot control the thoughts that come into my mind. For example, I have to perform rituals, otherwise I cannot concentrate on anything else, and it's an everyday, all day thing just about. I have extremely horrible thoughts. I will not discuss or go into a lot of detail of how horrible these websites are, but I have vibes that if I don't go on a certain website a certain number of times, something horrible is going to happen to my family members or friends. Or if I don't touch something seventeen times, something bad is going to happen. I know it's irrational thinking, but I can't help but think it. I've tried ignoring all these thoughts, but I eventually think of them again. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Answers: Perhaps you can move your psychiatrist appointment up sooner. If you explain how you are currently feeling, they should be flexible. You can also ask your therapist if he/she can contact the psychiatrists office to give them a heads up.
Good luck and take care of you!

You should go to church,,,,, let Jesus heal you
That is common from what I have heard about this Disorder. Have you told your counselor any of this? Even a seeing your doctor may be able to help. Maybe a change of medication is in order. What ever you do Do Not Go Off The Medication If You Feel Better. It will make things much worse if you go off the medication after feeling better.
