How do you know??
Question: my friends are constantly asking me if i am depressed. Now after all the questions im starting to think I am. Is there a website or an online test to help me understand depression better. I would tell my parents but i want to be almost sure, so they don't think I'm doing it for attention. thanks

i suffer from depression too, my doctor currently has me on 10mg of Lexapro daily, although i may have to increase my dosage although i really don't want to. Depression is usually characterized by the constant feeling of lonliness, despair, mood swings, sleep changes, appetite changes and suicidal thoughts or tendencies. no matter how awful you feel there is help and whether or not you choose to go on medication, you can always talk to a therapist, that helped me. make sure you are very careful on anti-depressants though because certain drugs or medications can interact with them, MAOI's are the worst to take when concerning the interaction of other meds with the drug, you may need an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) which works with your levels of your serotonin in your brain to balance it out. i hope this helped.
