I know that 1800 contacts verifies that your prescription is current with your doctor (which is REQUIRED by federal regulations in the US...in response to above poster who says they don't bug u doctor ); this means that you are more likely to get a current, correct refill for your lenses. I can't speak to visiondirect's methods though.
