Contacts advice?!??
Question: What is the best way of putting in contacts? For some reason, I keep blinkng the contact out and I've tried so many things, but I want to know what is the secret to putting in contacts in two seconds.
Answers: ill give you the tips my eye doctor gave me and what ive learned from my expirence
1) hold you eye open with your fingers however you want to, since youre a beginner you might want to take your middle finger on your right hand and hold down the bottom of you eye and then take your pointer finger on your right hand and pull the top lid of youre eye upwards
2) then have your contact on your index finger and make sure its right side up and everything
3) this is the hardest part...putting it in make sure none of the sides are pressed down on your finger or anything then you wanna just take your finger with the contact on in and touch your eye and the contact should go in
4) its really normal to blink the secret is you have to stare at yourself in the mirror like dont blink hold your eye open so you dont blink just stare stare stare ( my eye doctor was yellin this at me when i did it and i was like be quiet but i get how important it is now)
so mainly its gonna take pratice but you have a long time to pratice it used to take me like 5-10 minutes to put them in now i just pop it in in a few seconds so dont worry you will get it
well when you get it on your eye lift up your eye lid and bring it over your conact with out touching it and pull it closed and then open. that is what works for me
Hold your eye open with one hand and use the index finger of the other hand to put the contact in. Push it gently against you eye.
If you have soft contacts, and are actually blinking them out of your eye, they could be wrong side out. I just got contacts a couple of weeks ago, and sometimes, it's hard for me to tell if they are inverted or not.
Sometimes, I'm able to get them in on the first attempt, but most of the time, I'm trying 3 or 4 times per eye. I'm getting better at it, though. It took me 20 minutes to put them both in the first time I tried at home. Now, I can get it done in about 2 mintes.
each person is different, my hubby thinks i put them in really weird but, it works for me.....i put the contact on my index fingure, take my middle fingure and pull my lower lid down and pop them in! my hubby takes his left hand and pulls up his upper lid, takes his index fingure pulls down his lower lid and pops it in with his middle fingure ( i think that way his weird!) also sometimes it helps if you look up while doing it. once there in if you roll your fingure up to down or down to up it helps get the air out and places the contacts right flat on your eye. its all up to you and your find the way the works, it takes time and you'll get use to it! good luck!
