Colored contacts for Astigmatism. Help??

Question: I went to the optometrist today & he said that I cannot get Colored contact lenses because I have astigmatism in my right eye. But, there are such things as colored contacts for astigmatism, am I right? I just didn't want to say anything to him because he's a professional!

My friend has astigmatism as well, but she wears colored contacts. And I searched online, and there ARE such things as colored contacts for people with astigmatism.

Are they available in Wal-Mart?

HELPPPP!
Answers: I only know of one, as was mentioned above. But they are only made to correct lower degrees of astigmatism, up to about -1.50D (off the top of my head...) If your astigmatism is higher than this, your vision will not be clear, and that's likely why the doctor said there were none for you. There are other clear contacts that will correct higher amounts of astigmatism.
Yes, I have astigmatism and wear Fresh Look Brand of contacts
I was unable to order tinted contact for my astigmatism when it became severe enough that I had to wear lenses that also corrected my astigmatism. Before then when it wasn't that bad I could wear lenses that were tinted. So I'm assuming that your friends astigmatism isn't as bad as yours.
My best recommendation if you're tired of messing with lenses all together is talk to your eye doctor about Laser Vision Correction. That was one of the best decisions I've ever made even though it didn't change the color of my eyes.
Yes there are
