Is it a bad idea to wear contact leds on a boat??
Question: Im going on a boat trip, and im not sure if i should wear them? Will the sea water affect them in any way?
Answers: No, I go to the beach and on the boat all the time with my contacts in and nothing has ever happened. It would be a bad idea to wear your glasses, what if you lose them over the side of the boat? Wearing your contacts will not hurt anything, I actually recommend it and the sea water will not do anything to harm them at all.
Google 'acanthamoeba' and 'pseudomonas aeruginosa' and that should give you a good idea of what can happen when you wear contacts in water.
If your on the sea, YES! Salt burns like hell when its in your contact lense. On the lake maybe, and only if your not going swimming. They'll float right of your eyes of u even blink underwater.
