What are the common sexual issues associated with postpartum??
Question: My wife gave birth almost one year exactly, in that time we have had sex no more than 15 times ( that's conservitive). My wife has no desire to be affectionate with me or have sex with me. She says she just doesnt feel like it. Does anybody have a website I could go to get more information?
Answers: Don't take it to heart.. I don't have a website, but I am a mother of a 2 year old, and a 3 month old... Being a mother is HARD WORK...as I'm sure you know.. And feeling sexy is the last thing on one's mind. When she lay's her head on the pillow, I'm almost positive that she is asleep 2 minutes later.. Things will get easier, and she will go back to her sexual self, but until then, just let her be, because you if you put too much pressure on her, she will just treat it as a chore.. You may want to try to get a sitter for the evening, and take her out.. Dressing up is not so much fun either but once the clothes and makeup are on, she will feel much better. You don't have to spend any money, just go for make dinner and go the beach, or park or somewhere, even your back yard and eat together. Get a bottle of wine to help her relax, and just have fun. No talking about money, kids, work.. ect.. I promise, this is a sure thing!
Consider yourself lucky, that is about 13 more times than we had sex in the first year.
Get a babysitter and start doing more around the house. Then you need to get away from everything for the night.
There still could be lingering depression, but i couldn't find information.
You need to do something now or you'll end up like me (my wife never really recovered from her 2nd pregnancy and I have been celibate' for 15 years)
shes concentrated on the kid and that will last till the child has grown up, sex is not compatible in the minds of some women with mothering, get her away for a vacation if you have family who will take care of the kid, and to a place where there wont be kids.
