Need to find a doctor...??

Question: I'm 21 and need to find a gynecologist. I just moved 250 miles away and don't know anyone. Does anyone have a good website or something where people rate or review doctors? I've never had the exam and am kinda freaking out so I want to make sure I find a good doctor instead of randomly picking someone out of the phonebook. Thanks!
Answers: Check with your insurance provider. Since you just moved to a new place, you probably don't have friends who could provide recommendations so your best bet would be online resources. Most medical insurance companies have web-links that have provider directories. At a minimum, you can search by zip codes and specialty. Others might include gender and language preferences too. You can tell if doctors are board-certified. Once you narrow down on a few doctors, you can find more information at ratemds.com, citysearch.com, vimo.com or healthgrades.com.
You should check with your insurance, you could also call the hospital and ask for the local gyno. If all else fails make a few phone calls to the gyno's out of the phone book. I had to do that when I moved to another state. I got very lucky and found a wonderful doctor. I hope you find one too.
Talk to people at work or school. You will see a doctor recommended more than once.
