I need to throw off my menstrual cycle??

Question: My boyfriend and I are in a LDR and I'll be seeing him for 3 days next month. Only problem is, I'm expecting my period those days. Any way I can shift my cycle so I get it before or after? (Please spare the lectures on why it's not safe, pregnancy risks, etc....I'm 25.) Serious tips only please. Thanks!!
Answers: start on the pill...take the first week they are the strongest...progesterone stops your period.
Are you on the pill (if not why not?) if so just skip your sugar pills and start a new pack and you will skip your period for the month.

If you are not on the pill then sorry but there is nothing you can do
If you are on the pill then you need to look at the type of pill you are taking. Pills either have one steady dose all the way through the cycle with 7 sugar pills OR they have multiple doses through the cycle and 7 sugar pills.

If you are on the one dose variety then you can just skip the sugar pills and start your new pack on the next day.

If you are on the mutliple dose pack then usually you would skip both the last week of active pills AND the sugar pills and begin the next pack. This may not be the case for your set of pills so call your doctor.

It is a simple and common thing for women to want to adjust their periods when they are on the pill and wont hurt you if you do it under your doctor's instruction. Just call the office and ask to speak to someone about what you want to do. Have your pill pack on hand so you can tell them which pill you are taking. They should be able to give you directions on how to take them with no problem.

Keep in mind that some women use this to skip periods with no problems while others still have spotting, so its not a perfect solution for everyone. If youre not currently on the pill there isnt much you can do to adjust your period.
